9 Tips To Become More Of A Morning Person

I love mornings! … I’m not kidding.

I thrive off the morning time.

But that wasn’t always the case.

If you dread waking up every Monday morning, hitting your snooze button until the very last minute you can wake up to still look presentable for work… I’ve been there.

When I was working my last full-time job, I would basically roll out of bed and stumble into work.

I liked to shower at night because I knew I wouldn’t wake up in time to shower.

My alarm was set to wake me up in plenty of time. But I had no motivation to get out of bed because I didn’t love my job. Or my life.

Today, things are different!

Sure, transitioning out of that job an into something I truly love made a HUGE difference.

But there were also systems and habits that I had to develop to become a morning person.




WHAT MAKES A MORNING PERSON

To be a morning person, you don’t have to wake up at 5 AM!

Honestly, in the winter I barely roll out of bed before 7 AM… sometimes 7:30 AM.

So that’s not what being a morning person is about to me.

It’s waking up before 10 or 11 AM and honestly enjoying the morning time!

You prefer to go to bed a little bit earlier and wake up a little bit earlier.

You thrive off the early morning sunlight and the stillness of the world.

Mornings are my jam.

Weekend mornings in particular.

But everyone is different. And it’s important to remember that.

There is no need to compare yourself to someone who is waking up at 5AM.

They may be extremely productive with their routine and you could be just as productive with yours by waking up a few hours later.

Everyone is different.

So there’s no need to compare here.

Now let’s get to those tips.

HOW TO BECOME A MORNING PERSON

Just like anything else, forming a new habit takes time.

And you can’t expect to just do some of these things once and see big results.

For me, it took a long time to get into a healthy routine of waking up in the morning and actually loving it!

And like I said in the video, one of the biggest challenges you’ll have to face is cutting out your self-sabotage.
