4 Things I’ve Manifested So Far In 2019
I was going to push this blog post off until the end of the year.
Just like I was going to wait to refresh my vision board until the start of 2020.
But I’ve already manifested almost everything on my vision board currently. So it’s not really serving me to have those things on there.
And honestly, you don’t need to wait until the new year or even a new month to get started.
The best time to get started is now!
So if I wanted to start manifesting bigger and better things in my life, I shouldn’t wait until the start of the new year.
I changed up my vision board in October.
And I’m writing this blog post about all the things I manifested in 2019 before the year is over.
But that doesn’t matter!
All that matters is that I manifested those things. And that’s incredible!
So today I want to share what I’ve been able to manifest so far this year, exactly how I manifest, and what I still want to manifest before the year is officially over.
Let’s get into it!
WHAT IS MANIFESTING
Manifesting is one of those things where either you believe it or you don’t.
And a couple of years ago, I know that I wouldn’t have believed in manifesting.
I was so closed off to believing anything!
But today, I do believe that there are a lot of things that I’ve been able to bring into my life because of my manifestation practice.
So what is manifesting?
I wanted to put a formal definition of manifesting here.
But honestly, I couldn’t find a definition that I liked!
So here’s what I believe manifesting is…
It’s the belief that your thoughts can determine what happens in your life.
Meaning, your thoughts have real power!
So if I focus on how everything in my life is awful and how I never find a parking spot, there isn’t going to be a parking spot waiting for me at my location.
Compared to if I envision living in a big house on a lake, that will happen for me!
Basically, your thoughts become your reality.
And I 100% believe that this is true.
It’s like if you focus on how much negative there is in your life, you’re only ever going to see the negative!
Compared to if you focus on the good, you’ll see more good and you’ll also receive more good in your life.
But when you take this to the next level and truly manifest your dreams, something amazing can happen.
So let me explain.
HOW I MANIFEST MY GOALS & DREAMS
There are several different ways to practice manifesting.
And I’ve read a couple of books that talk about different strategies.
So if you’re not sure where to get started, definitely do your research and then try out some different techniques until you find one that works for you!
For me, there are a few ways that I like to manifest.
My vision board
Since we already talked about my vision board, I’ll start with this one.
A vision board is just that. It’s a board with pictures of what you want to bring into your life.
RELATED: Creating My 2019 Vision Board!
So let’s say that you really want to move out of your parents’ house and get your first apartment.
You could include pictures of apartment inspiration on your vision board!
When I created my board for 2019, I thought about the different aspects of my life and what I wanted to create for myself in the future.
So I included images, quotes, and even just some simple words like “create” and “love you” to remind myself to create more and always love myself!
Then I placed my vision board in a spot where I would see it every day.
And every day I look at my vision board and all the things that I want to bring into my life.
Envisioning my future
Another thing that I really LOVE to do is envision my future.
I will think about what my life will look like 2 years from now or 10 years from now.
And I go over every detail!
What will my house look like? How will I feel? What will I do with my time?
It’s like fantasizing about your dream life.
But this tactic helps me to get focused on my goals and what I really want for my life.
Listing 10 things that I am
This is something that I learned from Rachel Hollis.
She mentioned that she has a list of 10 things that she is.
Not 10 things that she wants to be or wants to have.
But 10 things that she is in the present!
So I started to do this as well.
And let me tell you, it’s really powerful when you read “I own a multimillion-dollar company” and “I inspire millions of people every day”.
That’s freaking uplifting! And makes me want to work my butt off to make it happen.
Writing and journaling my hopes and desires
The last thing that I do is journal and write my dreams, hopes, and desires.
Sometimes, it’s not enough to just think about what you want from this life.
So I write it down!
And exactly like how I envisioned my future, I’ll just write out what I see myself doing and who I am in the future.
But one of the most important parts of this is that I act likes it’s in the present.
So I don’t say “I will have a 5 bedroom house on a lake”.
Instead, I would write “I live in a 5 bedroom house on a lake that’s constantly filled with friends and family.”
When you put it in terms of something you just “want”, it’s much harder to manifest it.
You have to honestly believe that it already is.
WHAT I’VE MANIFESTED IN 2019
So now you’re probably wondering what I’ve manifested in 2019.
These are all things that I either included on my vision board or specifically wrote down in my journal as things that I wanted to bring into my life this year.
So let’s start with a basic one.
A new car
I’ve been wanting a new car for myself for a while.
I mean I drive a 2003 Honda Civic that I was gifted in college from my grandfather.
And the best thing about this car is that it’s free!
It’s totally paid off so all I have to worry about is insurance, gas, and other car expenses.
So it’s perfect for being a small business owner.
That’s honestly an expense I can’t afford right now.
What ended up happening was that the lease for Alex’s car was ending this year so we had to get another car to replace that one.
And we knew that we wanted to get an SUV that would be able to tow things and just have more space.
So we got a family car! That has both of our names on it.
And let me tell you, we both love that car!
Since Alex actually drives to work every day, that’s his main driver.
But there are days where he takes my old Civic and I get to drive the new car.
And let me tell you, it makes me feel like a million bucks!
So even though the way the new car in our lives didn’t manifest in getting rid of my Civic, it still resulted in a new car.
And sometimes, that’s how manifestation works.
The Universe gives you the things that you need. Not always the things that you want.
Speaking at Upstate Social Sessions
This is a big one.
So let me explain what happened here.
One of my goals for my brand is to be able to speak on at conferences either by myself or on panels.
And I’ve been manifesting this for a long time!
Whenever I envision my future, I picture myself traveling to different conferences and standing on the stage.
So a couple of months ago I received a DM from one of the founders of Upstate Social Sessions.
They were finalizing their list of talks at the conference and realized that they had no one speaking on Pinterest.
So I hoped on the phone with her an hour later and I was officially speaking at my first conference!
That to me is manifestation at it’s finest.
I didn’t know that they had even opened up their applications for speakers!
And by the time I was contacted, that opportunity was already closed.
But yet I was able to speak.
Crazy. Just crazy.
Podcast feature with Abundantly Clear
I really love podcasts.
And one of my goals this year was to be featured on a podcast.
But similar to speaking at Upstate Social, I didn’t reach out to any podcast owners.
I didn’t even know what podcast I wanted to be featured on!
I just kept telling myself that I’m on a podcast (notice the present tense).
And then the day I received a message from Malorie with Abundantly Clear, I just about freaked out!
And a few months later my episode premiered on her podcast!
A new camera for YouTube
There were 2 things that I wanted to manifest for my business in terms of technology.
I really wanted a new camera to film my YouTube videos.
And I also still want a laptop to be able to work from anywhere.
But the one thing that I’ve already manifested was a new camera for YouTube!
Which if you haven’t heard me talk about it before, it’s so much better than my last camera.
At any one point in time, I’m working to manifest several different things in my life.
And there were some other things that I manifested this year like a Polaroid camera and even mastering 3 new arm balances in yoga.
But I don’t want this blog post to be a mile long.
So let’s talk about what I still want to manifest this year.
WHAT I STILL WORKING TO MANIFEST THIS YEAR
There’s still 2.5 months left in 2019.
And I’m ready to receive some of the things that I originally planned to manifest this year.
And other things, I’ve decided to put off into the future knowing that they will happen when they are meant to happen.
Like a laptop.
Right now I’m actually writing this on my iPad Pro.
It’s the only thing that I have that I can work remotely on.
Otherwise, I’m got my big desktop Mac at home which is perfect right now.
Would it be easier to have a laptop so I could edit YouTube videos from anywhere?
But right now, it doesn’t seem like that’s in the cards.
And that’s okay.
So the 1 big thing that I’m still planning on manifesting this year is…
A trip to California
I feel like this is so cliche.
Just about everyone who wants to be a blogger, Instagrammer, YouTuber, or influencer wants to either visit or live in LA.
And I’m not saying that I want to live in LA.
I just want to visit! (For now. Who knows what my future will bring!)
But my father was born and raised in California. And the last time I went out there to see family, I think I was 5?
I’m honestly not even sure!
But it’s been a long time.
And I’m feeling the pull to visit California.
At the start of the year, I had a feeling that I was going to visit.
And ever since then, I keep having dreams that I’m in Cali.
